WEE Pros GmbH has officially kicked off the Sustainable Finance Academy, a flagship initiative implemented in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) under the A-FIN II – Alternative Approaches to Financial Inclusion of SMEs in Palestine programme.
The Academy is designed to strengthen the capacity of financial regulatory institutions in Palestine—namely the Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA) and the Palestine Capital Market Authority (PCMA)—to shape and supervise inclusive, sustainable financial systems that serve MSMEs and contribute to environmental and economic resilience.
Over the 14-month implementation period (July 2025 – August 2026), WEE Pros will lead a comprehensive and participatory capacity-building process including:
A blended training program featuring interactive webinars, simulation exercises, peer learning exchanges, and consultation clinics.
Co-development of policy-oriented tools such as green finance taxonomies, ESG disclosure guidelines, and inclusive fintech frameworks.
Support to institutional learning through a customized digital knowledge hub and WEE Pros’ Moodle-based Learning & Development Platform.
This initiative will also actively engage other key ecosystem actors such as the Ministry of National Economy and the Environmental Quality Authority, aiming to foster cross-agency collaboration and policy alignment for sustainable finance.
The Sustainable Finance Academy is rooted in the belief that local ownership, regional knowledge exchange, and regulatory innovation are key to unlocking finance for sustainable development—especially in fragile contexts.
